Autonomous Resonating Life

teamLab, 2017-, Interactive Installation, Endless, Sound: Hideaki Takahashi, teamLab

When an ovoid is pushed by people or wild animals, or knocked over by heavy rain or strong winds, it shines brightly and emits a tone as it rises back up on its own. The surrounding ovoids respond one after another, creating a continuity of light and tone.

The light and tone of the ovoids also spread to the nearby artwork Resonating Trees, continuing through the artwork space. The space is transformed by people’s behavior, the environment, and the surrounding artworks, making people and the environment part of the artwork.
