바다 소용돌이의 안쪽과 바깥쪽은 같은 물로 이루어져 있다. 그곳에 물질적인 차이는 없다. 그럼에도 불구하고, 어째서 우리는 바다 소용돌이에서 하나의 존재를 느끼고, 그곳에서 생명조차 느끼는 것일까.
소용돌이의 안쪽과 바깥쪽을 나누는 것은 물질의 차이가 아니라 질서의 차이이다. 흐름 속에 질서가 생겨날 때, 물질적인 차이나 경계면이 없어도 그곳에 존재가 나타난다.
Light Sculpture - Flow에서는 계속해서 흐르는 빛의 선들이 공간 속에서 질서를 구성할 때, 그곳에 하나의 조각이 나타난다.
이 공간에 존재하는 조각은 만질 수 있는 물리적 대상이 아니며, 흐름과 질서에 의해 태어나며 사람들의 존재와 행동에 영향을 받아 역동적으로 변화한다. 신체와의 경계도 모호한 공간적 존재이다.
Light Sculpture - Flow는 조각을 고정된 물체에서, 흐름과 질서에 의해 나타나며 물질적인 경계면을 갖지 않는 공간적 존재로 확장하려는 시도이다.

The existence of an ocean vortex is made up of the same water, both inside and outside of it. Despite this, why do we feel a sense of existence, a sense of life, in the vortices of the ocean?
The difference between the inside and outside of an entity, such as a vortex lies in the order, not the material.
Even if the elements of an artwork are separated in space and time, when an order is formed within the parts, the individual elements are recognized as a single entity that transcends space and time. The artwork can even feel like a life form
