* Please note that the viewing may change based on the blooming period. Please visit the Nagai Botanical Garden official website for updates before your visit. On view until Sunday, August 16.

On summer nights, sunflowers emerge as sculptural phenomena where the existence of life and perception intersect.

When people or wild animals approach and stand still, the sunflowers shine brightly and emit a sound tone. The surrounding sunflowers also respond one after another, continuing to resonate the light and tone. If a wave of light approaches from the other side, it signifies the presence of a person or a wild animal beyond.

The artwork space is transformed by the physical behavior of people and the movement of wild animals, and the people and wild animals become part of the artwork. Each individual sunflower does not exist in isolation, but exists within a web of relationships. As people step into the resonating sunflowers, they sense the presence of other people and wild animals through a continuous flow of light and sound.

This group of phenomenal sculptures becomes an ecological field that changes together with people and wild animals.
