Regarding entry
Can children (elementary school and below) enter by themselves?
Children (elementary school and below) must be accompanied by a responsible adult aged 18 or older. (High school students are allowed )There must be one accompanying adult for every three children, including children eligible for free entry.
Are there any admission limits?
Admission may be limited in some cases.
Will I have to wait before entering the exhibition?
During busy periods, you may be required to wait outside before entry.
Do I need to leave the museum before the next admission time?
There is no limit on how long you can stay in the museum after admission.
Can I take a stroller inside?
No strollers are permitted.
Please leave them in the luggage room.
Is it possible to enter the premises on a wheelchair?
It is possible to enter the museum on a wheelchair. However, there are some art works that cannot be experienced (works inaccessible with a wheelchair) for safety reasons.
Also, as there is a limit to the number of wheelchairs that can be accommodated for entry, visitors may be asked to wait for entering the museum.

Can I rent a wheelchair?
Wheelchairs are not available for rent.
Regarding the venue
Are there any restaurants, cafes, or vending machines?
There are vending machines in the building.
There are no restaurants or cafes.
Are filming and photography allowed? Can I post them on social media?
Taking photos and videos, as well as posting them on social media are allowed. However, the following actions are prohibited:
・Use of monopods, tripods, selfie sticks and other auxiliary equipments with a total length of 30cm or more, as well as flash photography or drone photography.
・Filming or photography for commercial purposes without prior consent.
・Other actions that may cause inconvenience to other visitors.
Is there any smoking area?
There is no smoking area inside the facility. Please use the public smoking areas near the Kyoto station or other nearby facilities.
Do you have Wi-Fi?
We have free Wi-Fi in the facility.
