Children (elementary school and below) must be accompanied by a responsible adult aged 18 or older. (High school students are allowed )There must be one accompanying adult for every three children, including children eligible for free entry.

Admission may be limited in some cases.

During busy periods, you may be required to wait outside before entry.

There is no limit on how long you can stay in the museum after admission.

No strollers are permitted. Please leave them in the luggage room.

It is possible to enter the museum on a wheelchair. However, there are some art works that cannot be experienced (works inaccessible with a wheelchair) for safety reasons. Also, as there is a limit to the number of wheelchairs that can be accommodated for entry, visitors may be asked to wait for entering the museum. Please contact us here for more details.

Wheelchairs are not available for rent.

There are vending machines in the building. There are no restaurants or cafes.

Taking photos and videos, as well as posting them on social media are allowed. However, the following actions are prohibited: ・Use of monopods, tripods, selfie sticks and other auxiliary equipments with a total length of 30cm or more, as well as flash photography or drone photography. ・Filming or photography for commercial purposes without prior consent. ・Other actions that may cause inconvenience to other visitors.

There is no smoking area inside the facility. Please use the public smoking areas near the Kyoto station or other nearby facilities.

We have free Wi-Fi in the facility.
